Vancouver, BC artist, Ryan Walter Wagner, explores the act of witnessing, contributing, and documenting foreign objects found and placed within organic landscapes. The series, Silver, examines an ever present feeling of not fitting in or particularly standing out through the photographic lens.
Completed during a 3 week, 7 state road trip, Wagner selected specific landscapes to compose these images with his medium format camera. Ranging from shorelines to desert terrain, objects wrapped in silver act as alien beacons nestled amongst the sand dunes and temperate forests.
