My works explore the dimension of our current social system and the resulting changes in our environment.
The series “Suggestion” deals with the clearly increasing occupation of public space by various kinds of advertising, which is primarily caused due the influence of contemporary capitalism. Advertising is mostly conveyed as a subconscious manipulative influencing of our feelings, thoughts and actions, known as suggestion. Photography plays a media role in this and is able to support this economic and social order effortlessly. My work is intended to create a contrast and question what use the products and services of the majority of these for-profit companies truly have for us.
